1 Peter 2:4-12 > What exactly is the church? A building, a group of people? The last 10 years has seen a growing debate about the identity and purpose of the church in our culture. The Heidelberg Catechism summarizes the church as "a community chosen for eternal life and united in true faith."

Propitiation means that Jesus absorbed all of God's wrath. The ransom has been paid, we are free.
