The author to Hebrews spends a great deal of time and energy demonstrating that the Old Testament sacrificial system ultimately failed to accomplish its intended goal. Rather, Jesus did what the High Priest could not do. What was the need and does that need exist today, in a culture so different from ancient times? We will study Hebrews 9:11-10:4 to find out.

Jesus is the final High Priest. He is pure, blameless, holy and exalted. We are washed clean and He intercedes for us continually. We have direct access to God.

Propitiation means that Jesus absorbed all of God's wrath. The ransom has been paid, we are free.
