We are capable people. Many of us are "can do it" kinds of people. Is it possibly that our own ability has become an idol? Do we do things and then ask God to bless them after the fact? This evening, King Ahab's story of human persistence in the face of divine resistance shows us there is a much more fruitful way to walk with the Lord.
