According to John 3:22-30, following Christ requires a change in our thinking about where our joy will be found. In a word, we must get over ourselves and make much of Jesus if we are to deny ourselves, take up our crosses daily, and follow him. As John the Baptist said, "He must become greater; [we] must become less."
