All cultures have a story that explains the important questions in life: who am I; why am I here; what is the good life, etc. The story you believe shapes how you live. In this series of messages on the earliest chapters of Genesis, we will examine the biblical story that should shape the Christian's life and contrast it with the dominant story of our Western culture.

If we understand Genesis 3, we will understand human history: what's wrong with the world, with society, with the human race -- with us! This morning we will see how ever since the Fall, human beings have concluded that they can either be known deeply or loved deeply, but never both. We will see how that has cause all kinds of troubles for us and how the gospel breaks us free from bondage to that lie.

In our final look (for now) at the earliest history of the world, we will look at Genesis 9:1-17, where God establishes a covenant with Noah, and by extension, with the entire creation.
