HC Q#2 says there are three things we need to know to live in joy of belonging to Jesus. Amazingly, each aspect helps us better understand the other two. We will see how as we study 1 John 1:8-2:6.

In this scripture passage, Jesus shows how incompatible the Christian faith is to having an unforgiving spirit.

Lord's Day #2 of the Heidelberg Catechism tells us that, as the apostle Paul puts it: "Love is the fulfillment of the law" (Rom. 13:10).

We will begin to unpack Psalm 1, our memory work this fall, to understand what promises are in store for those who meditate on Scripture.

Since we were convicted of the importance of studying the Bible this morning, we will now look at the practice of it that Psalm 1 describes.
