Though a tragic miscarriage of human justice, the death of Christ was no accident. We will consider John 19:23-30 to understand the importance of John's repeated statement about Jesus death: "that the Scriptures might be fulfilled".

Lord's Day 6 of the Heidelberg Catechism tells us that the way we learn of our need for salvation, and God's provision for it, is through the "Holy Gospel". What does that mean? We will study 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 to find out.

Lord's Day 7 declares that salvation is found exclusively in and through Jesus Christ. Since death came through one man, Adam, so life comes through one man, Jesus Christ.
