This week, we will begin a study of the Old Testament book of Ruth. Sometimes considered the greatest love story in the Bible, the book of Ruth is certainly that and much more. This morning, as we are introduced to this short but significant portion of scripture, we will discover the "big idea", the main lesson of the story.

Given our natural inclination to avoid confession and repentance at all costs, it should come as no surprise that a lot of people, Christians included, are not very good at it. We will study Psalm 32 one more time to understand the anatomy of true confession.

In our final look at Q & A #1, we will focus our attention on the phrase, "[the Holy Spirit] makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him." What is the goal of the gospel? That we would make much of God, not that he would make much of us.
