Tonight we begin an extended study of the Heidelberg Catechism. Because Q & A #1 is a summary of the entire catechism, we will start with an expanded consideration of it. Tonight we find out what the catechism means by "comfort", as it is defined for us in Isaiah 40:1-2.

HC Q#2 says there are three things we need to know to live in joy of belonging to Jesus. Amazingly, each aspect helps us better understand the other two. We will see how as we study 1 John 1:8-2:6.
